Amr Waked (born April 12, 1973) is an Egyptian film, television, and stage actor. He gained international recognition for his role in the 2005 film Syriana, and has since appeared in several notable films including Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, Lucy, and Ramy. Waked's talent and portrayal of characters have earned him praise from critics, with his performance in Ashab wallah business (2002) particularly notable. He has been residing in Spain since October 2017, after being sentenced to eight years in prison by an Egyptian military court.
