Amy Carlson

Amy Lynn Carlson is an American actress known for her roles as Linda Reagan in the CBS police procedural Blue Bloods, as Alex Taylor on the NBC drama Third Watch, and Josie Watts in the NBC daytime soap opera Another World. Born on July 7, 1968, in Elmhurst, DuPage County, Illinois, Carlson was raised in Glen Ellyn. She comes from a family of schoolteacher parents, Barbara Jane and Robert Eugene Carlson, and has Swedish roots. Carlson began her career in Hollywood as a background actor in the film Lucas. She attended Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois, where she was active in the theater department and even directed a play. Carlson has made a significant impact in the television industry with her versatile performances.
