Amy Hoggart

Amy Hoggart is a British-American stand-up comedian and actress, born on April 14, 1986, in Washington, D.C. She gained recognition for her roles in Almost Royal, a faux-reality show on BBC America, and Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, an American political satire show on TBS. Hoggart comes from a family with a strong media background, with her father being English journalist and broadcaster Simon Hoggart, and her uncle Paul Hoggart being a TV critic. She studied English literature at King's College, Cambridge, where she performed with Footlights, and later obtained a master's degree in experimental psychology from the University of Sussex. Hoggart started her career with her character Pattie Brewster on the London stand-up comedy scene.
