Amy Nuttall is an English actress and singer. She is best known for her roles as Chloe Atkinson in the ITV soap opera Emmerdale from 2000 to 2005 and Ethel Parks in the ITV period drama Downton Abbey from 2011 to 2012. Nuttall was born in Blackburn, Lancashire, and received her education at Bury Grammar School for Girls. She trained at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts and performed with the National Youth Music Theatre. Nuttall has also appeared in the National Tour of The Phantom of the Opera and has sung at prestigious venues like the Royal Albert Hall and Royal Festival Hall. She won an edition of Celebrity Stars in Their Eyes as Sarah Brightman.
