Amy Walter

Amy Elizabeth Walter (born October 19, 1969) is an American political analyst and editor. She is the publisher and editor-in-chief of The Cook Political Report with Amy Walter, a renowned source for forecasting and analyzing national U.S. elections. Since 2015, Walter has also been a political analyst for the PBS NewsHour. She began her career at The Cook Political Report in 1997, where she served as a senior editor covering the United States House of Representatives. From 2007 to 2010, she was the Editor-in-Chief at the National Journal's Hotline. Walter then joined ABC News as the political director until 2013, when she returned to The Cook Political Report as its national editor.
