    The Last Kingdom is a historical drama television series based on Bernard Cornwell's novel series The Saxon Stories. Set in the late 9th century, the show follows the life of Uhtred of Bebbanburg, a young nobleman captured and raised by Danes after they kill his father. As England is divided into separate kingdoms and Viking invaders threaten to conquer the land, Uhtred finds himself torn between his Danish upbringing and his loyalty to the English kingdom of Wessex.

    Amy Wren Biography
    Amy Wren (born 14 October 1989) is an English actress. She began her acting career at a young age, attending Parsnips Youth Theatre in Harborough for four years. In 2006, Wren was selected to be a part of the National Youth Theatre, gaining recognition for her talent. At the age of 16, she was talent spotted by Disney UK and landed a role in the comedy sketch show Life Bites, where she played the lead role of Chloe. Wren continued to work in the television industry, appearing in Nickelodeon's Genie In The House and Summer in Transylvania. In 2010, she showcased her acting skills in Andrea Arnold's film adaptation of Wuthering Heights, portraying the character of Frances Earnshaw. In 2016, Wren portrayed Lady Evelyn Herbert in the TV mini-series Tutankhamun, based on the life of archeologist Howard Carter.
