Ana Beatriz Barros is a Brazilian model born on May 29, 1982, known for her appearances in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and her collaborations with various fashion brands such as Intimissimi, GUESS, Bebe, Victoria's Secret, Chanel cosmetics, and Jennifer Lopez's JLO fashion line. Born in Itabira, Minas Gerais, Brazil, Barros later moved to Rio de Janeiro where she grew up. She comes from a diverse heritage of German, Portuguese, Italian, and Spanish descent. At the age of 13, Barros was discovered by Elite Model Management while on vacation in Rio de Janeiro with her sister, leading her to participate in the Elite Model Look 1996 competition where she achieved the runner-up position.
