Andie MacDowell

Rosalie Anderson MacDowell, professionally known as Andie MacDowell, is an American actress and former fashion model. Born on April 21, 1958, she gained recognition for her roles in romantic comedies and dramas. MacDowell started her career as a model, working with renowned brands like Calvin Klein and serving as the spokesperson for L'Oréal since 1986. In the early stages of her acting career, she appeared in films such as 'Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes' (1984) and 'St. Elmo's Fire' (1985). However, her breakthrough came with the film 'Sex, Lies, and Videotape' (1989), for which she received an Independent Spirit Award and a Golden Globe nomination.
