Andre Royo

Andre Royo (born July 18, 1968) is an American actor, producer, and writer. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Reginald 'Bubbles' Cousins on the HBO crime drama series The Wire. Royo has also appeared in popular shows such as Fringe, Party Down, How to Make It in America, and Empire, where he played the character Thirsty Rawlings. Born in the Bronx, New York City, Royo is of African-American and Cuban heritage. Despite facing challenges with casting directors questioning his racial identity, he has proven his versatility as an actor. Royo made his acting debut in the 1998 film L.A. Without a Map and continues to be a prominent figure in the entertainment industry.
