Andre Ware

Andre Ware (born July 31, 1968) is an American sports analyst and commentator, as well as a former football quarterback. He gained recognition during his college years while playing for the Houston Cougars, where he won the Heisman Trophy and Davey O'Brien Award in 1989. Ware became the first black quarterback to receive the Heisman. In the 1990 NFL Draft, he was selected in the first round by the Detroit Lions as the seventh overall pick. Throughout his career, Ware played in the National Football League (NFL), the Canadian Football League (CFL), and the NFL Europe. In 2004, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.
