Andrea Bocelli is an Italian tenor born on September 22, 1958. Despite being visually impaired from birth due to congenital glaucoma, he went on to become one of the most successful and well-known opera singers of our time. At the age of 12, Bocelli lost his sight completely after a brain hemorrhage caused by a football accident. He started his career performing in piano bars and participating in local singing contests before signing his first recording contract with the Sugar Music label. Since then, Bocelli has released 15 solo studio albums, three greatest hits albums, and has recorded nine complete operas. With over 75 million records sold worldwide, he has achieved immense success as a crossover performer, blending classical music with pop influences.
