Andrea Mitchell (born October 30, 1946) is an American television journalist and commentator. She is currently the chief foreign affairs and chief Washington correspondent for NBC News, based in Washington, D.C. Mitchell has been a prominent figure in the network, reporting on the 2008 presidential election campaign for NBC News broadcasts, including NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt and Today.
