Andrea Mitchell

Andrea Mitchell (born October 30, 1946) is an American television journalist and commentator. She is currently the chief foreign affairs and chief Washington correspondent for NBC News, based in Washington, D.C. Mitchell has been a prominent figure in the network, reporting on the 2008 presidential election campaign for NBC News broadcasts, including NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt and Today. She anchors Andrea Mitchell Reports, a weekday show on MSNBC. Mitchell has also appeared on and guest-hosted Meet the Press, as well as being a frequent guest on shows like Hardball with Chris Matthews and The Rachel Maddow Show. In 2019, she received a Lifetime Achievement Emmy for her outstanding journalistic work.
