Andrew A. Weissmann is an American attorney and professor. Born on March 17, 1958, he has had an impressive career in the legal field. From 1991 to 2002, Weissmann worked as an Assistant United States Attorney, focusing on prosecuting high-profile organized crime cases. He gained further recognition when he served as a lead prosecutor in Robert S. Mueller's Special Counsel's Office from 2017 to 2019. Prior to this, Weissmann held notable positions such as Chief of the Fraud Section in the Department of Justice and as the General Counsel of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Currently, he is a professor at NYU Law School and continues to contribute his expertise to the legal community.
