Andy T. Tran

Andy T. Tran is an American actor born on October 6, 1983, in Houston, TX. He gained recognition for his role as Lt. Andy Chung in the TNT series, The Last Ship, produced by Michael Bay. Tran graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2006, earning a Bachelor's degree in Economics with a minor in Mathematics. During his time at university, he showcased his comedic talents by writing, acting, and directing award-winning comedy shows. This led him to become a sketch player for various comedy troupes in Austin, TX from 2007-2009. Tran transitioned into film acting, making his TV debut in NBC's Chase. He has appeared in other popular TV shows such as FOX's Bones, CBS's NCIS: Los Angeles, and ABC's Reckless. Tran has also starred in acclaimed films, including Post-Racial and Cabernet, for which he received a best performer nomination.
