Angela Thorne Biography
Angela Thorne (25 January 1939 – 16 June 2023) was an English actress known for her roles on stage, television, and film. She appeared in various productions such as World in Ferment (1969), Get Some In! (1976), The Good Life (1977), Midsomer Murders, Foyle's War, Heartbeat, and Lassie (2005). Thorne gained popularity for her portrayal of Marjory Frobisher in To the Manor Born (1979–1981) and for her performance as Margaret Thatcher in Anyone for Denis? (1981). She was nominated for Best Comedy Performance at the 1981 Laurence Olivier Awards for her role in Anyone for Denis?. Thorne was born in Karachi, British India, and trained for the stage at a prestigious drama school.
