Anika Moa is a New Zealand recording artist and television presenter, born on May 21, 1980, in Papakura, Auckland. She rose to fame with the release of her debut studio album, Thinking Room, in September 2001, which topped the New Zealand Albums Chart. The album produced two popular singles, 'Youthful' and 'Falling in Love Again.' Moa's talent was recognized early on when she competed at the Rockquest songwriting contest in 1998, leading to a recording contract. She has been the subject of two documentaries, including '3 Chords and the Truth: the Anika Moa Story' (2003) and 'In Bed with Anika Moa' (2010). Moa's unique sound and captivating presence have made her a prominent figure in the New Zealand music scene.
