Ann Curry (born November 19, 1956) is an American journalist and photojournalist with over 45 years of experience. She has dedicated her career to reporting on human suffering in war zones and natural disasters. Curry has covered conflicts in Kosovo, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Afghanistan, Darfur, Congo, and the Central African Republic. She has also reported on major disasters like the Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004 and the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. Curry joined NBC News in June 2012 as a national and international correspondent-anchor, and as the anchor at large for the Today show. Prior to that, she was the co-anchor of Today and the anchor of Dateline NBC from 2005 to 2011.
