Ann Risley, born in Madison, Wisconsin, is a retired American actress and comedian. She gained recognition as a cast member of the TV series Saturday Night Live for the 1980-1981 season. Risley caught the attention of Woody Allen during a theatre production of his material, leading to small roles in Allen's films Annie Hall, Manhattan, and Stardust Memories. Before joining SNL, she made a cameo on the show in 1976. Risley was cast by Jean Doumanian, the show's associate producer, but was later fired along with Gilbert Gottfried and Charles Rocket when Dick Ebersol took over as producer. Despite a difficult experience, Risley remains a notable figure in the entertainment industry.
