Anna Belknap is an American actress known for her role as Detective Lindsay Monroe Messer on the crime drama CSI: NY. Born in Damariscotta, Maine, Belknap attended Lincoln Academy before discovering her passion for acting while studying at Middlebury College in Vermont. She further honed her skills at the American Conservatory Theater, earning a Master of Fine Arts degree. Belknap has appeared in various television shows, including Medical Investigation, The Handler, Deadline, Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Without a Trace. She also made her feature film debut in the independent film The Reality Trap. Belknap joined the cast of CSI: NY in 2005 and portrayed Detective Lindsay Monroe from season two onwards.
