Anna Maria Jopek is a Polish vocalist, songwriter, and improviser. Born on December 14, 1970, she gained recognition for representing Poland in the 1997 Eurovision Song Contest with her song 'Ale jestem,' finishing 11th out of 25 participating acts. Jopek also collaborated with jazz guitarist Pat Metheny on an album in 2002. Throughout her career, she has received numerous awards for her music, including Michel Legrand's Personal Award in Vitebsk in 1994. Jopek has sung with renowned artists such as Marek Grechuta, Jeremi Przybora, and Wojciech Młynarski in Poland, and internationally with Pat Metheny, Youssu'n Dour, Bobby McFerrin, and Ivan Lin. She has also released a Christmas album featuring duets with her father, Mazowsze singer Stanisław Jopek.
