Anne Pitoniak (March 30, 1922 – April 22, 2007) was an American actress known for her roles on stage and screen. She was nominated for the Tony Award twice, once as Best Actress (Play) in 1983 for her performance in 'night, Mother and once as Best Actress (Featured Role – Play) in 1994 for her role in a revival of William Inge's Picnic. Pitoniak's notable film credits include The Survivors (1983), Housekeeping (1987), Hiding Out (1987), and Where the Money Is (2000). She began her acting career as a civilian actress touring Japan, the Philippines, and Korea for the Special Services after World War II. Pitoniak was a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
