Annette Crosbie Biography
Annette Crosbie (born 12 February 1934) is a Scottish actress known for her role as Margaret Meldrew in the BBC sitcom One Foot in the Grave (1990–2000). She has won the BAFTA TV Award for Best Actress twice, for The Six Wives of Henry VIII (1971) and Edward the Seventh (1976). In 1976, she was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Slipper and the Rose and won the Best Actress award at the Evening Standard British Film Awards. Crosbie has also appeared in films such as The Pope Must Die (1991), Shooting Fish (1997), and Into the Woods (2014). She started her career with the Glasgow Citizens' Theatre Company in 1956.
