Anthony Calf Biography
Anthony Calf (born 4 May 1959) is an English actor known for his work in both television and theatre. He studied acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) before making his television debut in 1982 on the show Doctor Who. He gained recognition for his recurring roles in the medical drama Holby City as Michael Beauchamp and in New Tricks as DAC Robert Strickland. Calf has also appeared in various theatre productions, including The Madness of George III and A Midsummer Night's Dream at the National Theatre. In 2015, he was featured in the Broadway production of King Charles III. His impressive acting skills have earned him a nomination for best actor in the Irish Times Theatre Awards 2008 for his role in Uncle Vanya at the Gate Theatre.
