Anthony Heald is an American character actor known for his roles in various movies and TV shows. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Dr. Frederick Chilton, Hannibal Lecter's jailer, in the movies The Silence of the Lambs and Red Dragon. He also played assistant principal Scott Guber in David E. Kelley's Boston Public and had recurring roles as Judge Cooper in The Practice and Boston Legal. Heald had a notable appearance as a troubled psychic in The X-Files episode 'Closure'. He has a background in theater, having worked extensively on Broadway and receiving two Tony Award nominations. Heald has also recorded over 60 audio books.
