Anthony Kiedis

Anthony Kiedis (born November 1, 1962) is an American singer, songwriter, and rapper. He is best known for being a founding member and the lead vocalist of the alternative rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers. Kiedis and his bandmates were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Kiedis moved to Hollywood to live with his father when he was twelve. During his time at Fairfax High School, he became friends with Flea and Hillel Slovak, who were members of a band called Anthym. After high school, Kiedis dropped out of UCLA and formed the Red Hot Chili Peppers, where he has recorded thirteen studio albums.
