Anthony Rapp Biography
Anthony Deane Rapp (born October 26, 1971) is an American actor and singer known for his performances in both stage and screen productions. He gained recognition for originating the role of Mark Cohen in the Broadway production of Rent in 1996, which he later reprised in the film adaptation and the show's United States tour. Rapp showcased his talents in other notable theater productions, including the 1999 Broadway revival of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, where he portrayed Charlie Brown. In 2014, he originated the role of Lucas in the musical If/Then. Since 2017, Rapp has portrayed Lieutenant Commander Paul Stamets on the popular television series Star Trek: Discovery. He has also been involved in the #MeToo movement, accusing actor Kevin Spacey of sexual misconduct in 2017.
