Anthony Weiner

Anthony David Weiner is an American former politician who served as the U.S. representative for NY's 9th congressional district from 1999 to 2011. He was a member of the Democratic Party and consistently carried the district with at least 60% of the vote. Weiner resigned from Congress in 2011 after it was revealed he sent sexually suggestive photos of himself to different women. He ran for Mayor of New York City in 2005 and 2013, finishing second and fifth in the Democratic primaries, respectively. In 2017, Weiner pled guilty to transferring obscene material to a minor, resulting in a 21-month prison sentence. He was released in 2019.
