Antonia Sophia E. Clarke, born on May 24, 1995, is an English actress and singer. She is best known for her roles in the films Altar (2014) and All My Friends Hate Me (2021). On television, Clarke gained recognition for her portrayal of young Emmeline in the BBC Two film The Thirteenth Tale (2013) and as Mary, Queen of Scots in the Starz series The Serpent Queen (2022). Clarke was born in Hammersmith and grew up in Brackenbury Village, West London. She attended Downe House boarding school in Berkshire, where she discovered her passion for acting. Clarke pursued her education at Goldsmiths, University of London, studying History of Art, and later obtained a Master of Arts in Film Aesthetics and Philosophy from the University of Oxford. Clarke made her television debut in the action series M.I. High (2011) and her film debut in the musical adaptation of Les Misérables (2012), performing the song 'Lovely Ladies'.
