    Anupam Tripathi Biography
    Anupam Tripathi (아누팜 트리파티; born 2 November 1988) is an Indian actor based in South Korea. He gained worldwide recognition for his main role as Ali Abdul in Netflix's South Korean survival drama series Squid Game (2021). Born in New Delhi, Tripathi developed an interest in acting after playing a slave in a stage production of Spartacus. He was a member of the Behroop theater group led by playwright Shahid Anwar from 2006 to 2010. In 2010, he moved to South Korea to attend the Korea National University of Arts on the Arts Major Asian scholarship. Tripathi has been actively involved in Korean theater and commercials since his third year of university.
