Ara Celi Biography
Ara Celi (born May 31, 1974) is an American actress known for her work in American film and television. She gained recognition for her starring role in the 1997 dance movie Looking for Lola. Celi is best known for her guest starring role as Ampata Gutierrez, also known as 'Inca Mummy Girl,' in season two of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In addition to her acting career, Celi has appeared in television advertisements for various car dealerships including Universal Toyota, Charles Maund Toyota, Boggus Ford, and Jim Norton T-Town Chevrolet. Born Araceli Valdez in El Paso, Texas, Celi is of Mexican-American descent. She attended J.M. Hanks High School and later pursued her education at the University of Texas at El Paso.
