Last Samurai Standing (イクサガミ) is a 2025 Japanese Netflix original live-action series adapted from Shogo Imamura\'s novel. Set in the late Meiji period at Tenryū-ji in Kyoto, it follows Shujiro Saga, a once-unbeaten samurai who enters a lethal tournament of 292 fighters competing to seize wooden tags and journey to Tokyo for a ¥100,000 prize. Starring Junichi Okada, Yumia Fujisaki and Kaya Kiyohara, the six-episode series premiered at the 30th Busan International Film Festival.

John Rabe (released in the United Kingdom as City of War: The Story of John Rabe) is a 2009 biographical film directed by Florian Gallenberger, based upon John Rabe's published wartime diaries. The film focuses on Rabe, a German businessman who used his Nazi Party membership to create a protective International Safety Zone in Nanking, China, helping to save over 200,000 Chinese from the Nanking Massacre in late 1937 and early 1938.
