Archie Hahn Biography
Archie Hahn (September 14, 1880 – January 21, 1955) was an American track athlete known for his sprinting abilities. He is widely regarded as one of the best sprinters of the early 20th century. Hahn was the first athlete to win both the 100m and 200m races at the same Olympic Games. Born in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, he ran for the University of Michigan and won sprint events at the 1903 American and Canadian championships. At the 1904 Olympic Games in St. Louis, Hahn won the 60m, 100m, and 200m events, establishing himself as a dominant sprinter. He repeated his Olympic victory in the 100m race in 1906.
