Ari Naftali Melber (born March 31, 1980) is an American attorney and Emmy-winning journalist. He is currently the chief legal correspondent for MSNBC and the host of The Beat with Ari Melber. Known for his methodical 'follow the facts' style, Melber has gained prominence as the most-watched show on MSNBC, outranking everything else on the network. In 2023, The New York Times reported that The Beat had the highest ratings of any show on MSNBC or CNN, marking the first time in the network's history that a show outside the prime-time window took top honors. With increasing ratings, The Beat has become one of the most-watched news programs on cable, trailing only Fox's 'The Five' in 2023 and making it one of the most-watched cable news shows in 2022.
