Arlene Duncan is a Canadian actress and singer from Oakville, Ontario. She is best known for her role as Fatima, a diner owner, in the CBC sitcom Little Mosque on the Prairie. Duncan has appeared in over 80 film and television roles, as well as numerous theatrical productions. Born to a Jamaican mother and a father of African Canadian descent, Duncan's family has a long history in Canada, with her ancestors being involved in Oakville's Black community. Her great-grandfather was Jeremiah Adams, the groundkeeper of Turner Chapel in Oakville, and her father, Alvin Aberdeen Duncan, was a Royal Canadian Air Force veteran. Duncan's talent and contributions have made her a respected figure in the entertainment industry.
