Arlene Golonka Biography
Arlene Golonka (January 23, 1936 – May 31, 2021) was an American actress known for her roles in television, film, and stage. Born in Chicago of Polish descent, Golonka began her acting career in her teenage years with a summer-stock theater company and gained further experience with the Goodman Theatre in Chicago. She achieved recognition for her portrayal of Millie Hutchins on the television comedy The Andy Griffith Show and its spin-off Mayberry R.F.D. Golonka often played eccentric blondes in supporting character roles. She was a life member of The Actors Studio and appeared in various productions throughout her career. Golonka passed away on May 31, 2021.
