Armin Shimerman

Armin Shimerman is an American actor known for his role as Quark in the Star Trek franchise. He appeared as the character in all seven seasons of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993-1999). Shimerman has also lent his voice to characters such as General Skarr in The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy (2001-2007), Doctor Nefarious in the Ratchet & Clank video game series, and Andrew Ryan in the BioShock video game series. Born on November 5, 1949, in Lakewood, New Jersey, Shimerman moved to Los Angeles at the age of 15. He attended Santa Monica High School, where he was actively involved in drama productions. After graduating from UCLA, he began his acting career.
