Aron Tager Biography
Aron Tager (June 30, 1934 – February 28, 2019) was an American actor, poet, artist, and sculptor. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Cranky Kong in the animated television series, Donkey Kong Country. Tager was also an accomplished artist, having held several exhibitions and installations of his sculptures in various locations, including Mount Anthony Union High School, Shaftsbury Elementary School, Delaware County Community College, and the Indianapolis Jewish Center. Throughout his career, he received notable accolades such as the Gold Key at the National Scholastic Art Competition in 1950, the 1975 Award and Medal at the Norwich University Art Show, and the Award and Medal at the Boston Festival of the Arts in 1985. Tager took a hiatus from acting to focus on his art before returning to the industry in the early 1990s.
