Artt Butler is an American voice actor born on October 13, 1969, in Los Angeles County, California. With a background of half-Japanese and half-Mexican descent, he humorously refers to himself as a 'Jap-xican.' Butler began his voice acting career in 2008, providing the voice of Sabato Kuroi in the English version of the anime series Blade of the Immortal. He is best known for his roles as Captain Ackbar in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Rafael Diaz in Star vs. the Forces of Evil, and Shang Tsung and Cyrax in the Mortal Kombat Legends animated direct-to-video films. In 2020, Butler voiced Uncle and Bill in the animated film Over the Moon, and reprised his role as Shang Tsung in Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms in 2021.
