Ashleigh Banfield

Ashleigh Dennistoun Banfield is a Canadian-American journalist and television host. She is best known for hosting Banfield on the NewsNation network. Banfield has also previously hosted Legal View with Ashleigh Banfield and Early Start on CNN. Born around 1967, Banfield attended Balmoral Hall School in Winnipeg, Manitoba before obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and French from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. She started her career in 1988 at CJBN-TV in Kenora, Ontario and went on to anchor news programs in Edmonton, Calgary, and Winnipeg. Banfield has established herself as a respected journalist in the industry.
