Ashley Austin Morris is an American comedian, playwright, and stage, television, and film actress. She gained recognition for her role as Francine Carruthers in the revival of the PBS Kids children's series The Electric Company. Born in San Antonio, Texas, Morris joined the comedy troupe 'Viva La Vulva!' after high school, where she contributed to writing and sketch comedy. She attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and co-starred in a production called Be Good, Daniel. Morris also wrote the play Libido Limbo, which was a finalist at Atlanta's Young Playwrights Festival. After moving to New York City, she appeared in off-Broadway productions. Morris continues to pursue a successful career in the entertainment industry.
