Asif Basra Biography
Asif Basra (27 July 1967 - 12 November 2020) was an Indian actor known for his work in Bollywood films and TV serials. He gained recognition in Western audiences for his role in the film 'Outsourced' and appeared in various other movies throughout his career. Basra was born on 27 July 1967 in Amravati, Maharashtra, India. After moving to Mumbai in 1989, he attended Mumbai University and acted in college productions, winning prizes for his performances. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Physics. Basra received critical acclaim for his roles in films like 'Black Friday' and 'Parzania.' He also appeared in 'One Night with the King' alongside renowned actors Omar Sharif and Peter O'Toole. Basra's career included a role in the Hindi movie 'Lamhaa' and a notable performance in the top-grossing 2010 film 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai.' Tragically, Basra died by suicide in 2020.
