Atticus Ronald Shaffer (born June 19, 1998) is an American actor known for his role as Brick Heck on the ABC sitcom The Middle (2009–2018). He has also lent his voice to the character of Edgar in the film Frankenweenie (2012) and portrayed Ono in the Disney Junior series The Lion Guard (2016–2019). Shaffer made a brief appearance in the film Hancock (2008). Brick Heck, portrayed by Shaffer, is the youngest of the three Heck siblings in The Middle. He is highly intelligent, loves to read, and has an ongoing fascination with fonts. Brick is socially awkward and often overlooked by his family. The Middle and its cast received numerous award nominations and won over a dozen collectively.
