Audrey Landers (born Audrey Hamburg on July 18, 1956) is an American actress and singer. She gained recognition for her role as Afton Cooper on the television series Dallas and as Val Clarke in the film adaptation of A Chorus Line (1985). Landers was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and began her acting career at the age of 9. She continued performing in community theater shows in New York State and gained attention with a country song she wrote and performed at the age of twelve. This led to a recording contract with Epic Records and appearances on The Merv Griffin Show. Landers also had a year-long role on the daytime drama The Secret Storm and acted on the daytime drama Somerset during her teen years. She studied music at Juilliard School in New York City while majoring in psychology at Columbia University.
