Austin Nichols (born April 24, 1980) is an American actor and director. He is best known for his role as Julian Baker in The CW drama series One Tree Hill. Nichols has also appeared in notable films such as The Day After Tomorrow and Wimbledon. He gained recognition for his portrayal of John Monad in the HBO drama series John from Cincinnati and as Spencer Monroe in the AMC horror drama series The Walking Dead. Born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Nichols moved to Austin, Texas at a young age. He comes from a family with a background in water skiing, with his mother being a national and international champion.
