Aydrea Walden

Aydrea Walden is an American screenwriter, Emmy-nominated television writer, and actress. She gained recognition for her work on the series Black Girl in a Big Dress. Walden has an impressive writing portfolio, contributing to shows like iCarly (2021 TV series), Eureka!, Barbie: It Takes Two, and Ada Twist: Scientist, earning her a nomination for the Children and Family Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing. In addition to writing, Walden is also known for her performances, including her one-woman show titled The Oreo Experience: A Total Whitey Trapped in a Black Chick’s Body. She has made appearances in the short film Sci-Fi 60 and an episode of The Mandalorian. Walden's passion for historical costuming played a part in inspiring her acclaimed series, Black Girl in a Big Dress.
