Barack Obama

Barack Obama is an American politician who served as the 44th president of the United States from 2009 to 2017. He is a member of the Democratic Party and was the first African-American president. Prior to his presidency, Obama served as a U.S. senator representing Illinois from 2005 to 2008, as well as an Illinois state senator from 1997 to 2004. Obama has a background in law, having worked as a civil rights lawyer and serving as a lecturer on constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School. He attended Occidental College and Columbia University for his undergraduate studies, and later enrolled in Harvard Law School, where he became the first black president of the Harvard Law Review.
