Barbara Tyson is a Canadian actress known for her appearances in popular TV series such as Neon Rider, Cold Squad, ER, and The Twilight Zone. She gained recognition for her groundbreaking role as Dawn 'Ivy' Rollo, the first HIV-positive character in a daytime soap opera in the United States on Another World. In her early career, she was credited as Barbara Bush. Originally from Capreol, Ontario, Tyson moved multiple times with her mother after her parents' divorce, settling in Barrie, Ontario during her teen years. She began her acting journey in Canada, with early guest roles and portraying Carol Burnett's daughter in Between Friends.
