Barry Joseph Goldberg (born December 25, 1942) is an American blues and rock keyboardist, songwriter, and record producer. As a teenager in Chicago, Goldberg had the opportunity to sit in with legendary blues musicians such as Muddy Waters, Otis Rush, and Howlin' Wolf. He gained recognition for his keyboard skills as part of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, backing Bob Dylan during his 1965 electrified appearance at the Newport Folk Festival. Goldberg went on to form The Electric Flag with Mike Bloomfield in 1967 and later formed the Barry Goldberg Reunion in 1968. He has co-produced albums for notable artists including Percy Sledge, Charlie Musselwhite, James Cotton, and Bob Dylan. Goldberg's contributions to the blues and rock music genres have solidified his reputation as a talented musician and songwriter.
