    Joseph Robinette 'Beau' Biden III (February 3, 1969 – May 30, 2015) was an American politician, lawyer, and Army officer. Born in Wilmington, Delaware, he was the eldest son of Joe Biden and Neilia Hunter Biden. Beau served as the 44th attorney general of Delaware from 2007 to 2015 and was a major in the Delaware Army National Guard during the Iraq War. Tragically, he passed away at the age of 46 from glioblastoma. Despite the loss of his mother and sister in a car accident when he was young, Beau overcame critical injuries sustained in the same accident. His dedication to public service, military service, and legal career made him a respected figure in American politics.
