Becca Blackwell (born 1973/1974) is an American trans actor, performer, and playwright based in New York City. Blackwell's pronoun is the singular they. They are best known for their play 'They, Themself and Schmerm,' which has been presented at notable venues such as The Public Theater's 2018 Under the Radar Festival, Abrons Arts Center, and the Portland Institute for Contemporary Art's TBA Festival. In 2014, musician Kathleen Hanna listed Blackwell as one of their favorite performers. They received a Doris Duke Impact Award in 2015 and were interviewed by Jim Fletcher for BOMB Magazine in 2016. Blackwell is also a member of the 2019 class of the Joe's Pub Working Group, a program supporting artists in their careers.
